When We Masquerade as Light Bearers

“For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.” – 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

This verse has been one of God’s messages these past few days because, again I kept reasoning and bargaining with the sins that I have made. I fail to focus on Jesus’ promises and deal with them on my own. Only to realize that I am missing so much of the help He alone can give me. The comfort and strength that comes from Him.

Whenever I share things like these, I feel undeserving. But He wanted me to know that all this coming back and repentance is not about me, but all about my Creator who wants to bring me back to His loving arms.

We don’t always understand Jesus’ tough love. We often mistake as “parusa,” but if we look closely at the things He wants us to let go for His glory, none of those really benefits us. Therefore, let our eyes fixate on God.
