Trust God

“Why are you depressed, O my soul? Why are you upset? Wait for God! For I will again give thanks to my God for His saving intervention.” – Psalm 42:11

Last year, I didn’t expect that I will receive my termination from work and the bad news that my youngest brother was also terminated from work, and he doesn’t know what will happen next.

I think it’s okay to ask God questions. Ibigay mo sa Kanya yung mga “Bakit?” at “Kailan, Panginoon?” Whenever I’m alone, especially sa umaga na time to be with Him, I would

just cry out and be open to Him. I would tell Him that I’m upset, worried, and hurt. “Lord, bakit po ang dami-dami naman nito? Parang hindi natatapos at dumadagdag pa ang mga challenges at trials Mo? Ang sakit kaya, Lord. I don’t understand this, but I trust You, my God. You brought me this far, You won’t leave me now.”

I chatted with my mom most of the time and would share with her yung aking lungkot at sakripisyo sa family. She told me to trust God! I trust God because I know He is always in control, even if I don’t understand it.

My present situation and heartaches will not even compare to what lies ahead, my victory in Christ. I will fight the good fight of faith! My God did not leave me in the cave of depression and gloom. He led me back to His throne of grace and blessings. Blessings upon blessings — physically, emotionally, financially, and most especially spiritually.

Praising God, for who He is and what He has done, allows me to realize that He is the light at the end of the tunnel and nothing can obscure that when I stay focused on Him. This turns despair to hope, to trust God, and have faith!

As believers, when we are blindsided by life challenges, we begin to doubt our faith. Then, we lose our joy and become like the lost causing us to entertain the moody blues. The Lord desires for us to lean on Him more during these times and in doing so, He lifts our spirits. So, when you feel the blues, begin to shout and praise the Lord through prayers, Scriptures, or worship songs, then your joy will quickly be restored.
