“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. “ – (NLT) Rom. 12:2
When I had my personal relationship with Jesus, I surrendered my life to God, believing that He would save me from my sins and change me by His power. After years of regularly attending worship service, joining Bible study, and having fellowships with Christian brethren, God transformed me gradually. My sisters first noticed the changes when I went home for a vacation in the Philippines, and I no longer drank liquor with my friends as I usually did before I became a Christian. Even my colleagues here in Oman notice the significant change as I no longer hang out with them at parties like before. But the most significant change is my dependence on God in everything that I do. I learned the importance of reading His Word, so I will be guided in my thoughts, words, and deeds. I also realized the value of engaging in the ministries of the church.
So, let’s volt in with our brethren to transform us into the likeness of Christ for His kingdom.
