“Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: 22The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” – Lamentations 3:21- 23 NLT
These verses remind me about the qualities of our Father and His true nature. He is indeed faithful, loving, and full of mercy. Faithful because He never turns away from His promises. God loves us unconditionally as He sacrificed Jesus for our sins to have an intimate relationship with us. He is merciful because He chose to forgive us instead of giving us the punishment we deserved.
The God we worship is the true and living God who gives us the courage to face trials and uncertainties confidently. It gives us hope that everything will be better. This hope is achieved through completely surrendering to Him. It is not the kind of hope that says all our wishes will come true. Hindi po ganyan, pinapangunahan na po natin ang Panginoon kapag ganun at kapag hindi nasusunod yung gusto natin ay nawawalan narin tayo nag pag-asa. The kind of hope that springs out from submitting everything to God is when we let His plans work in our lives.
So let us always be hopeful for we have a great God. We need to fully submit to Him, fix our eyes to Him alone, and let Him unfold His plans for us according to His will.
