Through The Pain

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” – Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

Not just long ago since the pandemic due to covid-19 happened, and now, the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Once again, a family somewhere out there has lost a loved one in an unexpected, abrupt way. A man expecting to receive his salary for the month just lost his job. A child excited to learn and play with classmates suddenly can’t go to school.

Even though I am not the person directly involved, I still get very sad and affected by their situation. Now, what about those who are experiencing these pains right now?

Then the Word of God reminded me that, In the times when we face discouraging situations, it’s easy to lose hope and think that that’s it, I can’t go on anymore. But God reminds us that He is near. He is near the brokenhearted people, and not only is He near, but He rescues them!

Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, we thank You for always being with us, especially to the people who are downcast right now. We remember them, Lord and lift them to You. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround them through these dark moments of their life. And we pray most especially that this situation will help them draw closer to You and, through Your mighty power, their spiritual eyes be opened to see Jesus Christ, His love and the hope that He brings to us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
