“and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” – 2 Timothy 3:15

Staying full-time at home throughout my maternity leave and taking care of my children alone during the day requires strength and wisdom in attending to their immediate needs. I realized that because of the time I am spending with them, which normally most of the mothers found themselves into, I have more opportunity to plant and nurture the seed of God’s word in their minds through songs and Bible stories for children. Timothy (Paul’s mentee), knew the benefits of spiritual nurturing at an early age. His mother, Eunice, and grandmother, Lois, taught him the Scriptures, which give wisdom that leads to salvation. Indeed as a child, Timothy was being equipped for the ministry God would latterly call him to. The spiritual training he received as a child—and the biblical knowledge he accumulated in those early years – were crucial elements in his adult ministry. As a parent, I am aware that the most precious gift I can give to my children is a godly upbringing that will serve as the foundation for their future ministries.
