Sing Praise

“Come let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to Him with thanksgiving, let us sing psalms of praise to Him”. (Psalms 95:1-2 NLT)

The Book of Psalms was written by King David, encouraging us to sing to the Lord. It helps us in expressing our response to God. Singing helps us to unite as a Church. Our praises to God change us for the better by refocusing our affections and restoring our souls. Our spirit becomes more open, and we are receptive to God’s Holy Spirit. The more we praise God, the more we will be filled with God’s love to share with others.

One of my daily routines, after waking up in the morning, is listening and singing contemporary Christian songs. It comforts me and reminds me that we have a loving and faithful Father. It is my way of worshipping and giving Him praises, in addition to my daily devotions, praying, and reading the Bible. Giving thanks to our Holy God is acknowledging him that He is Sovereign. Therefore, I will continue to sing and worship Him forever.

Lord, encourage and help us to continue singing praises. Give us a heart that is in one accord as a body of Christ. May our Church unite to worship You through singing, praising Your Holy Name. Amen!
