“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” – Romans 8:1-2 NIV
Committing mistakes or sins is constant in the daily life of human beings. They say, “I am only human; that’s why it is happening.” I ponder and think about those individuals imprisoned by their sins and punished by human law. I thought maybe some of them had lost their hope in life. I then realized I was once a prisoner because of my sins. It was not punishable by human law, but it is in the eyes of God.
Praise God for the hope bestowed to each of us who are sinners. The Scripture says, “For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.” Although I am not worthy to receive Him, by grace through faith, I am saved. It is not by myself, it is a gift of God, not by good works, so that no one may boast.
Indeed, I am free and have the assurance of salvation through Christ Jesus. I am in the progress of following Him and walking beside Him to be holy.
Prayers:
Dear Lord God, I am a sinner asking forgiveness for all the mistakes that I have made. Please give me the strength to live my life according to Your plan. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
