What a beautiful song! Whoever wrote this song surely believes that as we wait for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ we should not be weakened to go on living — living without fear in this temporary world (Luke 12:32); not to worry as what the next day would bring (Luke 12:22-26), but to lift our hearts to HIM with joy as we struggle in this darkened world (Romans 5:3-5).
HE is the HOPE who helps us in our sufferings; sufferings which are not worth comparing with the glory that would be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).
So as we welcome 2022, let us continue to love one another, let us continue to rejoice as we worship HIM – just a whisper of HOPE as we remember HIM as the HOPE that would guide us not only this year . . . . . HOPE to HIM whose LOVE never fails.
