Live By Faith

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV)

When I was reading this passage, I remember the time when I was staying in the hotel for my quarantine. While watching the news, I felt ashamed that I suddenly got distracted and felt anxious because of the uncertainty considering the world’s current situation. Yes, I am excited to be with my family, yet leaving my job and going back home without knowing what will happen next is like walking with my eyes closed or blindfolded. I started to think about what will happen next the moment I open the door and step out of the hotel room. I was worried that I may not be able to find a job given our country’s unemployment rate and due to the current pandemic situation. We tend to worry sometimes over the things that are happening around us. We are often easily affected by the problems instead of holding on to His promise. As children of God, we only need to trust Him and always be reminded of our identity in Him. God is always right in front of us extending His hand. Let us not be bothered by any distractions. Instead, focus on listening to God’s voice and be guided by the Holy Spirit. Let us forget our worries and fears and instead, be reminded of His promise in Luke 12:22-31 (which we have also discussed in our Bible Study). Know that God is working in our lives. We only need to put our trust and faith in Him even we don’t see Him. Let us allow Him to be the God in our lives.
