I Am Not Alone

“…for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.” – Philippians 2:13 NIV

After reading this verse, it made me realize how I was before – how I handled difficult times, how I handled frustrations, and how I handled insecurities. It was when na hindi ko pa nakilala ang Panginoon, noong hindi ko pa Siya natanggap as my Lord and personal Savior. I felt so alone, anxious, scared, and didn’t know what to do. It felt like I was having a panic attack. To ease all of those, my way or my defense mechanism was to block all of those feelings, for me to feel numb and able to reset my mind and fight back and go on with my life.

As I get to know Jesus day by day, He changes me. He transforms me through His Holy Spirit, on how I handled stressors in life. Instead of blocking all those negative thoughts and feelings, I communicated with Him through prayer and reading His Words. He gives me courage, peace, and confidence. I have the faith and hope that I am not alone, I am not on my own. Instead, I have Jesus in me who gives me wisdom and strength and assures me that I can go through all of the hardships and trials that I will encounter. Though sometimes, I still have those negative thoughts and feel weak, with Jesus as

my guide, He helps me to be back on track to fight and confidently overcome the challenges in life.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for rescuing me, for giving me that transforming heart and mind to keep my faith in You alone. Thank You for the peace in my heart and mind. Thank You for giving me the strength and letting me know and feel that I am not alone, that I have You every moment of my life. Amen.
