Holding On

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:29-31)

This verse is very timely during this time of the pandemic when everything is uncertain and we don’t know until when this will last. When the pandemic started, our small business was very much affected because we cater mostly to schools and universities who had to stop face to face schooling in view of the government’s directive to control the spread of the virus. Meantime, we have staffs, rent, and suppliers to pay.

But the Lord has sustained us and provided for us our needed help so we were able to settle little by little. I also stopped working when all the schools went online classes. I was back to a full-time housewife looking after my family and attending household chores which I believe is also my ministry. There are times I also become weary and tired especially due to financial and health concerns, but I hold on to His promises that He will not leave nor forsake us and He is in control and sovereign about everything. We must put our full trust and confidence in Him who promised us strength when we grow weary, tired and weak.

God will renew our strength as we hope in Him alone. All glory to God from whom all blessings and favors flow!
