“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.” – Isaiah 41:13
Life has been a roller coaster for me and my family, and I think for most of us. There are happy, calm, and peaceful times and there will be scary and heart-pumping moments. Problems, troubles, and trials will always be part of our lives but how we go through them is part of the challenge. The fact is we couldn’t resolve anything on our own.
This Bible verse reminded me that there is Someone up there Whom I can always rely on and ask for help and I shouldn’t be afraid. It is not easy with our weak nature as humans. Whenever we are overwhelmed with the problems we are facing at that particular moment, we feel depressed, and I must admit I tend to fall into that. It happens most especially when the situation just seems so difficult and impossible to resolve. It’s agonizing but at the same time, these situations made me rely on God the more because there’s nothing else I can do but wait and trust in God’s faithfulness.
Amazingly when God says “Do not fear, I will help you,” He means it. There are times when I wasn’t sure how I will make it. I am stretched emotionally, physically, and
financially, and even came to a point where I feel my life is falling apart. Aside from doing my part, I just surrender all my circumstances to God in prayers. God provided resources and made the way. He brought good people to encourage me as well. Through prayers, God provided me with comfort, peace of mind, courage, direction, and hope in all the seasons of my life. He is all-knowing. He is in control. He provided help in any way He thinks is best for me.
Life is like a wheel, as they say, sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down, it’s a continuous cycle. But dear brethren, may we always be reminded that God is our greatest source of help. Whenever you are down and burdened with problems whether it’s financial, relationship, sickness, marriage, etc., big or small, just close your eyes and call on God for help. He will provide, guide, and be with us throughout no matter how tough and impossible our circumstances may be.
Let us pray. Oh loving Father in heaven, thank You for reminding us that You are our main source of help in whatever circumstances we face in this life. Help us to always rely on You and be reassured that You will always be with us. Guide us in whatever storm or difficulties life will bring us. Forgive us, Lord for all our sins. We don’t deserve it, Lord, but thank You for Your grace and mercy upon us. Thank You that You are our great God who is faithful and in control of everything and we shouldn’t be afraid. We surrender and entrust everything into Your loving hands. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
