Isaiah 40:8 says: The grass may wither and the flowers will fade but the Word of God will stand forever.
My reflection on this passage is that truly everything fades and passes as fast as morning dew – may it be time, resources, our work, people, our lives, challenges, or anything else. Nothing stays forever, only the Word of the Lord. He remains the same. Having this in mind assures me that whatever God promises, especially to His children, will happen in His perfect time. I should be full of hope and joy despite the challenges I go through. I am blessed that He never left my side as promised and that He will never leave me nor forsake me.
Lord, thank You for Your assurance that Your word remains forever. May You teach me to walk with faith and learn to trust You in every circumstance and situation I will go through in this life. Amen.
