“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose prevails.” – Proverbs 19:21
A new year brings us a fresh start, a new beginning. We start making new plans, we make our checklists/bucket lists of what to do, where to go, or even make changes in our life for the better. But some people don’t notice that they are already hard on themselves just to get what they want. We make plans and prepare for our future, and there is nothing wrong with that. But sometimes our plans don’t go the way we want them to. Despite our best efforts, we still fail. We feel frustrated and sometimes lose our hope.
This Word of God reminds me always to pray for His will. It is not bad that some things don’t go as planned or expected. I will not lose my hope because I know, although things don’t go the way I wanted, that God has a better plan for us. He knows and has already prepared for our future. Everything in this life has a purpose. I may not know every purpose but I trust the Lord. I know that He has great things in store for us. His plan is far better than our plans. Our future is in His control, we have to trust the Lord, submit everything to Him, and always include Him in our plans. Pray and ask His blessings and guidance to direct and lead us to the right path.
