As another year has been added to my life, parang ganon din ang dagdag ng alalahanin ko. Yes, I am such a worrier. I worry about my aging grandmother and parents in the Philippines. I worry about my children’s future. I worry about my husband’s upcoming exam. I worry every time I go to work about what kind of illnesses and patients I will encounter. I worry a lot even with simple things.
This Bible verse is my calming verse. It reminds us that we have to cast all our burdens upon the Lord for He promised that He will sustain us and that He cares for us. Challenges and sufferings are part of life. God gives provision to that simple flower, how much more to us His children? I know hindi madali but I pray to God every day to remove these fears, anxieties, and worries in me and to stand firm, for I know He has more stored for me.
So mga kapatid, if ever you are in the same situation as I have, pray to God to remove that feeling and focus on God alone. He will sustain you, and He cares for you. Amen.
