“Jesus wept” – John 11:35
We all know that this verse is the shortest verse in the Bible. However, this phrase describes something so wonderful about the character of our God in the person of Jesus Christ.
Lazarus, Jesus’ friend died. Jesus went to raise Lazarus but surprisingly to me, He wept. It doesn’t make sense to me why Jesus cried kung alam naman Niya na kaya Niyang buhayin si Lazarus. It came to me that it exposed Jesus’ humanity.
But I realize something wonderful. Sometimes when we encounter bad situations or problems we often ask, “Does God even care?” This verse is the answer to that question. Alam ni Lord and pinagdadaanan mo, ang mga struggles mo, mga problema sa buhay at bilang kaibigan Niya umiiyak din Siya kasama natin. God truly shows His compassion especially when we are going through pain and suffering.
