“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”- 1 Peter 5:7 NIV
God cares for us even as we live in this fallen world. We worry about our health, career, family and many more. It is a part of our life and our reality and we cannot change it; but, we can change how we handle these things and whom we lay it all down.
As I meditate on this verse, I remember the experience and difficulties we faced when we were applying and processing the visa of my mother in law. We waited a long time for the documents to arrive from the Philippines. The tourist visa expired and we had to pay a fine. When the document arrived, we thought it was going to be easy, but there were so many delays and errors that we had to pay another fine. It was stressful and worrisome. It reached a point that we just wanted to go back home to the Philippines so we can all be together.
Thank God for His Word that keeps reminding us that He cares for us and He knows our needs. This is the truth that we hold on to and keeps us to be still before the Lord.
Praise God!! The visa was finally granted and God also provided money to pay for the fine. To God be all the glory.
