The gift of peace is very valuable to us and to all the people of this world. Isn’t this why people go for a vacation to relax and remove stress? But sadly, this only gives us temporary peace. Once we get back to our ordinary lives, anxieties crept in once again and make us worry.
But lasting peace is possible and it is a promise we can depend on – a peace that comes from our Lord Jesus Christ. Are we accepting this gift? Are we depending on this gift daily when we encounter trouble? Let us always seek Him every day in our life.
Prayer: Almighty Father, thank you for the peace that we have through Your Son Jesus Christ. I pray that whenever fear or anxiety dwells in my mind and heart, I will be reminded of Your words and Your promise of peace which passes all understanding. Keep me in Your presence always. Amen
