“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (1 Timothy 1:7)
This past week, my thoughts led me to fear the future, and I started to feel anxious. My fear of the future does not equate to the character of God. Fear does not come from Him. I cannot have my hope and trust in God and at the same time doubt God’s ability to care for me. There will always be challenges in my life that I cannot control, but God has given me power to control my attitude. When I am faced with challenging situations, I pray that this will be my attitude: God loves me, I belong to Him, and this is an opportunity to show God’s glory.
