“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” – James 1:2-8
There are times when I would think that others are living their lives so easy like they have no hard times. However, nobody is spared in facing trials and having a problem-free life. The scripture describes trials as common to all—we all face hard times. Trials will arise unexpectedly and there may be no time to prepare for such. Through this passage, God enlightened my mind to be ready, and be prepared so I may handle trials with His grace and continue to grow. I will pray and continue to ask God to show me how to endure – and how to rejoice in dealing with trials. I believe, He has a plan for me in every hardship that I have, or I may encounter – and trust in Him for the fulfillment of His purpose on trials that He has permitted.
