Our time on earth has limits, just like our money, talent, and energy. We don’t know when Jesus will return and when God will promote us to heaven. The days we have now are precious because each allows us to “determine what pleases the Lord” and act on that knowledge.
I have this tendency to waste so much of my time on social media. Planning to read blog posts and watch videos for a couple of minutes becomes an hour, and before I realize it already consumed half of my day. Technology is a blessing from God, but abusing it harms our time-management goals. I am reminded that we should consider time as a resource for God’s glory and not just for our benefit.
Prayer:
Dear God, forgive me for the days I am weak. Fill my life with Your Holy Spirit to ensure that I am making most of my every minute here on earth to benefit others and that it may bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
