“Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act.” – Psalm 37:5 ESV
It is important for us, Christians, to stop for a while and check our spiritual thermometer from time to time, so we can assess where we are in our walk with God.
Sometimes we can be easily caught up with busyness in life at hindi natin namamalayan that our time with Him starts to decrease without even realizing it. Hindi natin napapansin na hindi na pala tayo nakakapag-morning devotion, even our prayer life ay paunti na nang paunti. Mas pinipili pang matulog kaysa umattend ng worship service, until God is not in our mind at all.
For the past few weeks, I experienced some sort of busyness, nandyan yung bigla kaming pinalipat ng flat, sunod-sunod na interview from the employer, preaching preparation, as well as responsibility sa workplace as CNE coordinator. Ang hindi ko namamalayan na sa sobrang stress ay nagiging vulnerable na pala ako to the point na hindi na ako nakakapag-devotion.
But when I read this verse, it reminded me that I should not dwell sa mga bagay na nakakaagaw ng time ko kay Lord. Instead, I should come to the Lord and commit everything to Him. Then, the rest is history. I was able to manage my time and put things back in order at naging smooth lahat ng pangyayari, and the most important is naibalik ko ang time ko kay Lord.
Truly, if we will just entrust everything to the Lord – our lives, families, jobs, ministries, and possessions – with His control and guidance, everything will flow smoothly knowing that God will act on our behalf.
