Comfort

“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:4 NLT

The word “comfort” has different meanings, either physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint or alleviations of a person’s feeling of grief or distress. We often use or say comforting words to our family, relatives, friends, brethren, and other people if they are in pain or lost a loved one.

When I started my relationship with God, I have loved to help other people who surround me despite my own struggles. It seems I’m one of the problem-solvers to my family and relatives because most of the time I’m giving them advice. This time, most of my friends will send me messages about their problems or struggles. I praise God for that because they trust me. I believed that God comforted me in all my pains and troubles so that I can help and comfort others too. Our God is the source of all comfort.

Lord, help me and my brethren to be strong whenever we have troubles. Give us strength when we are weak. Give us courage when we are afraid. Comfort us when we are alone and in pain so that we can share with others who are in need the help and comfort that we received from You. Amen!
