Comfort Over Grief

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:24 NLT)

These past few weeks, I was coping with the loss of my father.

Alam ko pong this is His will. I just prayed at sinurender ko lahat sa Kanya ang worries at feelings ko. And I always remember God’s promise na He will never leave us nor forsake us. That I don’t need to worry dahil Si Lord nandiyan lang palagi. I praise the Lord. Truly, His love is greater than any fears and worries.

In those times na nalulungkot ako, God comforted me. He gives me strength thru my family and friends. We thank the Lord kasi our father is not in pain anymore. We find comfort and joy in knowing that he is in God’s hand now. God sustained our family financially.

God is really God of help, nandiyan palagi in times of need. He is a good Father. God of comfort and compassion. He is our refuge and strength. I believe for His promises of peace, and He is in control of everything. Kahit nawala man ang earthly father namin, we know we are not alone; our Heavenly Father God is with us. Hindi po talaga madali na wala na si Papa but our love for him always remains.

Temporary lang ang lahat. Our suffering won’t last forever. And one thing is certain – the love of God. His love will never change.
