“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6)
Our family has been apart for many years. When we were in Japan, Gwen and William were in the Philippines. When our children went to college, Toto and I were in Thailand. And now, we are here in Oman while our children are in the Philippines and London. As parents, of course, we worry about our children especially for their safety. But through the years, this verse has always given me hope, peace, and comfort. This verse always reminds me to lift all my concerns to the Lord instead of being anxious. I am always reminded to put my trust and hope in the Lord knowing that He can keep our children and loved ones safe and provide for their needs.
