“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)
As a nurse, one of our major roles is giving care to our patients. Hence, we are called “caregivers.” This profession isn’t just about having knowledge but truly possessing a heart in serving. Often, the patients, relatives, and other hospital workers make us feel like we are superhumans, and they neglect to see our needs.
We wanted to scream out in the toughest times, “We are also humans, and we need care too!”
But praise God for His everlasting words and for reminding us to “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.”
It is comforting to know that we have a sovereign God who cares for us. Indeed, when we feel weak and exhausted, His grace is always sufficient! (2 Corinthians 12:9) Each time we feel so exhausted, we are braced by His constant words: “My grace is all you need. My power works best in your weakness.”
