“Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” – John 11:40
Jesus utters this word to Martha when she asks Him a question whether they can open the tomb of her brother, who died four days ago because in her mind it is impossible to raise a dead person.
Sometimes fears and doubts fill our minds and bring us away from the goodness of our Father. We tend to forget that all the things in this world, including men, are created by God, so nothing is impossible to happen, especially if it is His will.
Whatever it is that bothers us and makes us anxious, Jesus is telling us to believe, give it all to Him so that we can see His work and mercy in our lives. This verse speaks to my heart today and helps me face my fear and do something that I thought I couldn’t. He helps me to be brave as I hold on to His promise.
Lord, thank You for the assurance that You give us, your children, that whatever we are facing right now, we will be victorious, and we are going to see your glory. Help us to be faithful and continue to praise and glorify Your name in our life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
