“Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
This week, my son’s duty ran toxic. Instead na two interns ang assigned sa one shift, isang intern lang ang pinapa-duty dahil kulang ang interns. Yesterday, more than 12 hours ang duty ng anak ko. He was able to eat his dinner at 2 AM. Pag-uwi pa, konting pahinga lang kasi dapat mag-study for the next day na duty.
This verse reminds me to be thankful to God for sustaining my son with strength, safety, wisdom, and guidance, at natatapos niya ang shift na naging blessing siya in taking care sa mga may sakit.
Being thankful is something that may come automatically when we are in a good situation. Pero mahirap magpasalamat kapag tayo ay nahihirapan at maraming hinaharap na trials sa buhay natin. I pray that whatever situation we find ourselves in, we find it in our hearts to thank the Lord. Through His grace, may we have a heart that will rejoice and be thankful for everything.
