Be Still

“Be still and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

Before the year 2021 ended, we all prayed that this year 2022 will bring better health and opportunities to everyone. We’ve also prayed for the end of the pandemic. Previous years have brought everyone a lot of challenges and lessons. Some of our friends and brethren have experienced the loss of loved ones, jobs, careers, businesses, etc. While some have experienced victories and answered prayers from God. In all situations, good or bad we have seen God’s faithfulness.

Since the COVID pandemic has started, maraming pagbabago nangyari sa buong mundo and the world calls it the new normal. As God’s created being, we all have the capacity to adjust to change but we take time to undo the things we usually do. Most of us surpassed all the changes and challenges, yet we still experience uncertainties and fear of the unknown. May mga times when I will just stop whatever I’m doing at mapapaisip na hanggang kailan itong situation na ganito? When will these COVID mutations cease?

Although the world offered scientific and medical approaches to prevent the spread of it, we have witnessed how limited and temporary it was. As Christians, we believe that our God, our Lord Jesus, has the answers to all these. Our God is the God of wisdom. He is the All-Knowing God. We all just need to trust His Ways. We all just need to be still and know that HE IS STILL ON THE THRONE. He is in total control of everything that is happening in our life. Our God is mighty!

Heavenly Father, thank You, Lord, that You are in total control of everything that is happening in our lives. You have taught us a lot of things during this pandemic, and we thank You for that. Help us always to understand that Your ways are higher than ours. We all just need to be still and let You reign in all our situations. Amen.
