A few days more and it’s Christmas time. The most magical season of all. Everybody is feeling festive, excited to celebrate, and busy shopping for gifts.
But I’m just wondering, how about the people who are suffering from illnesses? Financial constraints? Grieving, just like my friend, who lost her only son recently, how will they celebrate? Is there anything to celebrate for if it is difficult to find hope and joy and when everything seems dark and not in tune?
Then I saw this verse! God reminds me to be a hope giver and show people how the Lord gives meaning in our lives if we trust Him with our lives – to be truly contented on whatever we have and to let them see that Jesus is the reason for this season. Let us spread the joy and hope which come from God alone.
Dear Lord, thank You for Your promise that You are always there to help us, as our strength and joy despite all our struggles in life. Help us to be a living testimony and hope giver to our friends and family who don’t know You yet. Help us to share with them the greatest present that man can receive this Christmas the gift of salvation.
