Personally, it’s a daily reminder and a big challenge for me and us as believers, to start each day with a conscious effort to pray, get connected with God, and make a divine decision to put away our sinful desires and to live according to God’s holy character. Let us resist sin and our inclination to sins! Easier said than done! I agree, but let us all be reminded that we have been cleansed from the perversity, then by all means let us live for God.
As Christians, we are now closely identified with Christ. With God’s strength and might, the Holy Spirit will empower us to use the armor of faith to fight sin and focus on God’s greatness and faithfulness. As we become more like Christ and learn to obey His ways, our changed lives (ang buhay Kristyano natin)- our new lives- will certainly draw others closer to Him.
Loving and righteous Father, help us to keep our hearts and minds remain firmly committed to Your will and to be fully conformed to Your holy character and grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
