“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” - Proverbs 3:5-6
As I step into a whole new environment, new people, and another adjustment, I would say, it’s too much to handle and much time to process new things in my life. Yesterday was my first orientation and I was really excited to talk to our immigration lawyer about bringing my dependents (my children) here to the USA. But I was a little disappointed when I heard that they can’t help.
But I was reminded through this passage to put my whole trust in the Lord with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding. I could be crying and feeling blue but thank God I realized that He knows all things and that He already started working things out for me. I know that my desire to be reunited with my children here in the USA will take place in His timeline and not mine.
Therefore, I should trust not only His ways but also His timing, not mine, and to take things slowly and process them well than me doing things on my own without the full grasp of everything. In the end, I might miss the whole lesson that God has been teaching me – to be patient.
He said it as well in Isaiah 60:22, “when the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.” So while in the season of waiting, let’s continue to be patient and keep pressing on and be thankful for whatever is given in our hands today. His timing is always perfect!
