““For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”” – Jeremiah 29:11, NIV

In my spiritual journey of getting to know God, I have struggled the most in surrendering control of my life to God especially in making future plans. If things don’t go as planned, it’s frustrating and disappointing. This happened when my NCLEX exam was postponed last year and had to reschedule-unscheduled-reschedule for three times. It made me question God’s intentions and His will. When my exam was at the risk of rescheduling for the fourth time, I thought to myself, “If I cannot take the exam this year or before my ATT ends, it’s a sign from God that I am not meant to work in the USA”. Maybe my plan/desire to go to America doesn’t align to God’s plans for me. This was what I thought. So, I silently prayed and surrendered my plans to God. My hope was to hold on to God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11, because I know God’s plans are better than mine. And indeed, God is good and faithful, I made it by God’s grace. To God be the glory.

Prayer:

“Father, thank You that I’m Yours! My life belongs to You, and I have great worth. Thank You that Your perfect plan for my life is being fulfilled! I believe that everything is aligning for my growth and the fulfilment of Your will in my life. Yes, what You have spoken with Your mouth, your hand fulfils. What you’ve got declared, nobody can stop! In Jesus’s name, Amen!”
