“He sent out His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind.” – Psalms 107: 20-21 NIV
The first month of the year was not so good for most of us, as this pandemic is continually spreading all around the globe. Like in my case, two of my loved ones in the Philippines were affected by this virus. But I praise and thank the Lord that their symptoms were mild, and they recovered.
When we get sick, we are so weak and sometimes want to give up because of our sufferings and pain. I experienced that so I know the feeling. Also, as a health care worker, I’ve seen the suffering of my patients in the ward.
These verses remind us that God heals whatever illness we are facing right now. Let us continually pray and trust Him that He’ll restore our health and give healing and strength to our loved ones who are sick.
Father God, thank You for the gift of life. Thank You that You always remind us that even though we’re suffering from an illness, You’re always there to give us strength and help us to recover. Forgive us for sometimes we are questioning why these things happen to us. Help us to trust in You always and have faith that You are our great and powerful God who gives healing. May this pandemic be controlled and end soon. All these things I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
